Across OECD countries participating in PISA, an average of 59.5 percent of 15 year olds report that their parents spend time “just talking” with them several times a week.
59.5 percent was the average of a range from just over 90 percent in Hungary to just under 42 percent in Germany.
This average is slightly higher than the proportion in New Zealand (52.4 percent).
