Age differences

Young people were less likely than those aged 25 to 39 years to report that fear of crime had a moderate or high impact on their quality of life, but more likely to report this than people aged 40 and over. 

41 percent of young people aged 15 to 24 reported that fear of crime had a moderate or high impact of their quality of life, compared to 47 percent of those aged 25 to 29, 38 percent of those aged 40 to 59, and 33 percent of those aged 60+.
