Satisfaction with leisure time
Definition
The proportion of young people aged 15 to 24 who are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the quality and quantity of their leisure time, as measured by the Quality of Life Survey, 2006.
Relevance
Leisure time is an important component of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Young people who are satisfied with their leisure time are more likely to be well-rounded, relaxed and happy.
Current level
The majority of young people aged 15 to 24 reported that they were satisfied or very satisfied with their leisure time (74 percent).
Eight percent reported that they were dissatisfied, with 2 percent reporting that they were very dissatisfied
