Satisfaction with leisure time

Age differences

Young people aged 15 to 24 (74 percent) and people aged 50 to 64 (75 percent) reported similar levels of satisfaction with leisure time. 

Satisfaction with leisure time dips to 67 percent among people aged 25 to 49.  This age group tends to have considerable paid work and family caring responsibilities that often affect the time available for leisure activities. 

Older people aged 65 years and over reported the highest levels of satisfaction with leisure time (89 percent).
