Sex differences

Young men are more likely to be employed than young women. 

Young women tend to spend longer than young men in education or training, and also spend more time on childcare and other unpaid household work.

In 2007, 60.8 percent of young men aged 15 to 24 and 56.4 percent of young women men aged 15 to 24 were in paid employment for one hour a week or more.
