International comparisons

Young people aged 15 to 24 are more likely to be employed in New Zealand than in most other developed countries. 

In 2007, New Zealand was ranked seventh out of 30 developed countries on this measure, with a youth employment rate of 58.7 percent, compared to an OECD average of 43.5 percent.
