Sex differences
Young women are more likely than young men to be in receipt of benefit, as a result of their increased likelihood of receiving a Domestic Purposes Benefit.
In 2007, 96.7 percent of recipients of the Domestic Purposes Benefit in the 16 to 24 age group were female.
