Age differences
The Youth Connectedness Survey found that in both 2006 and 2007 survey populations, the older the respondent, the less happy they were with their looks and weight.
On a Likert scale of 1 to 5 (where 1 = strongly disagree and 5 = strongly disagree), young people in 2007 aged 11 to 12 scored an average of 3.87 across both measures combined, compared to 3.68 for those aged 13 to 14, and 3.48 for those aged 15 to 16.
Mean scores on five-point Likert scale for agreement with statements "I am happy with how I look" and "I am happy with my weight", by age, 2006 and 2007
