Educational resources in the home
International comparisons
Analysis of 2003 PISA data undertaken by UNICEF found that 15 year olds in New Zealand were slightly more likely than those in other OECD nations to have access to multiple education resources in the home.
The analysis found that 21.9 percent of New Zealand 15 year olds reported having access to fewer than six educational resources in the home in 2003. This compares to an average of 27 percent across 24 developed countries.
New Zealand was ranked 11th out of 24 developed countries on this composite indicator.(1)
