Sex differences
Among those aged 15 to 24, young women (9.9 percent) were more likely than young men (9.4 percent) to have engaged in formal voluntary work in the four weeks prior to the 2006 Census.
This pattern was apparent both within the youth age sub-groups of 15 to 19 and 20 to 24 years, and also within all older age groups up to age 79.
